Health is a process, not an event.

Homeostasis

Your body is designed to take care of itself.  When you cut yourself, you do not have to think your body through the steps of healing.  It just happens.  When you eat something, likewise, you do not concentrate on all the steps of digestion.  Your body knows what to do.  That's homeostasis.  Your body has the innate ability to maintain a relatively constant internal environment and, thereby, health.

Applied Kinesiology

It is our pleasure in this practice to help you on your journey back to wellness.
By using the techniques of Applied Kinesiology, the doctor can best determine the most beneficial method of treatment.  In order to make this determination the doctor might use muscle testing, gait analysis, postural assessment, acupuncture pulse points, respiratory challenges, or therapy localization, as well as other standard methods of asssessment.  Your treatments could include chiropractic adjustments, respiratory adjustments of the primary respiratory motion, reflex techniques, acupuncture points (without needles), muscular facilitation, and nutruitional supplementation, as well as others. (For more information on Applied Kinesiology see the links page of this site.)

Dysfunction and Healing

When the stressors on your body (emotional, physical, chemical, whatever they may be) exceed your body's ability to maintain homeostasis, something usually goes wrong.  Our first job is to discover what the stressors are that are keeping you from being fully well and where they are causing dysfunction.  Then we can begin the journey back to wellness.
If the proper actions are taken, your body has the ability to restore itself.  Working together with you we will strive to help your body return toward proper function and homeostatic balance.
